....Appleton Country Market.......

It was Apple and Pumpkin Day at the Appleton Country Market yesterday. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I had a stall and sold lots of my new Pen and Ink work..........

......the hilltop palace..............

.....this is my interpretation of the hilltop palace, which overlooks the Caspian Sea at Behshahr and was restored in the 20th century by Reza Shah Pahlavi to resemble an Italian Villa. Apparently, according to Byron, the villa was small, 'it's tilework coarse', but the garden was 'more romantic'..........I've tried to reflect that in my garden...........he he..

.....Fath 'Ali Shah's hunting pavilion...........

.......... the ruins of Fath 'Ali Shah's open hunting pavillion sit on an island in the middle of a great water tank that reflects pollarded willows and poplars.................

..something a bit different.....

.......I drew this from a photograph of the Ali Qapu Pavilion which is the entrance to Sha Abbas's palace and gardens in Isfahan, Iran.......I just love some of these beautiful old buildings......... the pavilion marked the entrance to Sha 'Abbas's, palace and gardens. The ceiling of the porch on the third floor is supported with eighteen tree trunks sheathed with strips of wood.......

...I just love an avenue of trees that I see when driving home near Radley College..........I couldn't wait to get home yesterday and start drawing....

Kennington Artists

whoopidoo....... I submitted some work to the local artist's group, Kennington Artists, and they've asked me to join them for an exhibition for Oxford Artweeks, next Spring. It'll be held in the old village church, which is only small but a cool space.
